Frequently asked

Questions about opening your first RCFE

Straight answers about what the RCFE University Launch Program includes, what it does not, and where licensed professionals and government agencies remain responsible.

What exactly is RCFE University?

RCFE University is a private consulting and educational program designed to help first-time California operators organize and navigate the process of opening an RCFE.

Is this a licensing agency?

No. RCFE University is not affiliated with the California Department of Social Services or Community Care Licensing Division.

Do you guarantee that my license will be approved?

No. Licensing decisions are made by the appropriate government agencies. We provide guidance and preparation support but cannot guarantee approval.

Can I join before I have found a property?

Yes. Joining before selecting a property may help you establish clearer property requirements and avoid moving forward without adequate review.

Will you find a property for me?

We may provide property guidance and, when requested, separate real estate brokerage services through the appropriate licensed brokerage relationship. Property availability and suitability are not guaranteed.

Is the program completely done for me?

No. This is a guided consulting program. Clients must remain actively involved, provide accurate information, complete required tasks, make decisions, and work with appropriate professionals and agencies.

What happens after I pay?

A consultant will contact you to complete onboarding, review your goals, and begin developing your startup roadmap.

How long does the program last?

The consultant support period is defined in your signed consulting agreement, which you review before the engagement begins.

What licensing fees are included?

Only the licensing-related fees expressly listed in your signed consulting agreement are included. Any fee not listed in that agreement is your responsibility.

Are construction, architectural, legal, or accounting costs included?

No. Third-party professional services and property-related expenses are not included unless expressly stated in writing.

Does the program guarantee residents or profitability?

No. Census, revenue, expenses, financing, occupancy, and profitability depend on many factors and are not guaranteed.

Is this only for California?

The current program is designed primarily for individuals planning to open an RCFE in California.
